I suggest you ...

Extend 3.0beta conversations so they cover all msgs in outlook "group by conversation"

I sort my email box by "group by conversation." I place the Taglocity conversation viewer on the same screen, below my reading pane.

It doesn't happen often, but Outlook will occasionally group msgs together in the same conversation (and that should be in the same conversation), while Taglocity sees only a subset of those mgs as being in the same conversation.

There may be various methods of determining a conversation, but it would be nice if there was at least an option to allow Taglocity to recognize the same conversation threads (or supersets, instead of subsets) that Outlook does.

Simply check the “Show all with same subject” checkbox to match the way Outlook does it. Outlook uses in internal field called ConversationTopic for grouping conversations which is the normalized Subject (i.e. with the Re: and Fw: removed), which is what the “Show all with same subject” option does on the Taglocity Conversation Reader.

The side effect of this option, as well as the way Outlook does it, is that you can get messages from different conversations mixed up if they happen to have the same subjects.

If you don’t use the “Show all with same subject” option, then Taglocity will only include in conversations email that comes from other Outlook clients (even if the subject is changed during the course of the conversation). Email that comes from other clients will not have the same internal conversation ID and therefore will be left out of the conversation view until you use the “Show all with the same subject” option.

Taglocity gives you the choice with a simple checkbox click so that you can decide which method to use on-the-fly.
